Shri Katariya Jain Tirth - Arrival from Gedi Village
The “Shri Shatrunjay Panch Parmeshti Prasad” has been constructed with the intention of providing a spiritual sanctuary for Varsi Tap ascetics, under the divine grace of Shri Rishabhdev Paramatma. In the future, this tirth will serve as the venue for collective celebrations of the Varsi Tap completion.
With its extraordinary craftsmanship, this magnificent structure will stand as a unique and unparalleled architectural masterpiece in India.
In the Prasad, the idols of Arihant Parmatma will be installed in the specific directions corresponding to their ruling planets. For example, the Guru planet’s direction is the northeast, and thus, Lord Rishabhdev's idol will be installed in that direction. Similarly, Lord Padmaprabhu's idol will be consecrated in the east, corresponding to the Sun planet.
All the pillars, the central dome, and the intricate beams inside the Shri Shatrunjay Panch Parmeshti Prasad are made from the finest wood. Skilled artisans from Barmer, Rajasthan, have executed marvelous carvings and sculptures, which evoke the intricate craftsmanship found in the temples of Ranakpur and Delwara.
This intricately designed wooden architecture is the first of its kind in modern India, becoming a center of attraction and devotion for pilgrims from across the world.
In gratitude to the spiritual leaders who have transformed Kutch and Vagad into holy lands of prosperity, a beautiful Guru Mandir has also been constructed at Shri Katariyaji Tirth to honor Acharya Shri Vijay Kanaksurishwarji Maharaj Saheb and Acharya Shri Vijay Devendrasurishwarji Maharaj Saheb.
To accommodate the needs of pilgrims, a modern and fully equipped dharamshala (pilgrim rest house) and bhojanshala (dining hall) have also been constructed to provide comfort and hospitality.
Despite being newly constructed on the edge of the desert, the ancient Katariyaji Tirth will continue to serve as a spiritual center, filling the hearts of devotees with reverence and devotion upon visiting.
We invite you to visit and experience the sacredness of this place yourself...
