Memorable Events
In the year 2011, under the guidance of P.P. Bh. Kanaksurishwarji Maharaj, the installation of the five Jin Pratimas, including Lord Naminath, took place at the Shri Katariya Tirth Jain Temple.
In the year 2018, under the auspicious guidance of P.P. Acharya Bhagwant Shrimad Vijay Kanaksurishwarji Maharaj, the worship of the Upadhana Tapas was performed.
In the year 2020, the Acharya Pad Pradaan Mahotsav of P.P. Acharya Bhagwant Shrimad Vijay Devendrasuriji Maharaj was celebrated with the presence of all Kutch-Vagadh Samaj, enhancing the sanctity of this holy pilgrimage site.
Under the sacred guidance of P.P. Acharyadevshri Shrimad Vijay Kalapurnasurishwarji Maharaj, a grand ceremony for 27 group dikshas was held in the year 2039, marking a golden chapter in the history of this pilgrimage site.
Numerous religious events such as Chaitra Utsavs, Chhadi Palit Sangh, and camps have contributed to creating a spiritually vibrant atmosphere at the Katariya Tirth.
After Shri Amrutlal Jadavji Mehta, the management of the Tirth was taken over by Shri Amrutlal Dalichand Mehta (A.D. Mehta), who dedicated his last moments to the administration and development of the pilgrimage.
With the construction of the Surajbari Bridge connecting Kutch and Saurashtra, there has been a significant increase in pilgrimages from Kutch to Saurashtra and vice versa. Arrangements for halting at Surajbari and Haripar for Sadhus and Sadhvijis are made by Seth Vardhman Anandji's family, including the provision of beautiful Upashrayas and arrangements for Gochari water.
Every year, the entire Kutch-Vagadh community benefits from the blessings and services provided to the Sadhus and Sadhvijis.
