Shri Katariya Jain Tirth - Shatrunjay Panchparmeshti Prasad
The “Shri Shatrunjay Panch Parmeshti Prasad” has been constructed with the divine intention of providing a sanctuary for the Varsi Tap ascetics, under the auspices of Shri Rishabhdev Paramatma. In the future, this tirth will host collective celebrations of the Varsi Tap completion.
With its extraordinary craftsmanship, this magnificent structure will remain a unique and unparalleled architectural masterpiece in India.
In the Prasad, each idol of the Tirthankaras will be installed in the direction corresponding to their ruling planet. For example, Lord Rishabhdev's idol will be consecrated in the northeast direction, which corresponds to the Guru planet. Similarly, Lord Padmaprabhu’s idol will be installed in the east, the direction of the Sun.
All the pillars, the central dome, and the intricate arches inside the Shri Shatrunjay Panch Parmeshti Prasad are made from the finest wood. Skilled craftsmen from Barmer, Rajasthan, have executed remarkable carving and sculpting, reminiscent of the artistry found in Ranakpur and Delwara temples.
This intricately designed wooden structure is one of the first of its kind in modern India and will serve as a center of attraction and reverence for pilgrims from around the world.
In gratitude to the spiritual leaders who have elevated Kutch and Vagad to new heights of prosperity, a beautiful Guru Mandir has also been constructed at Shri Katariyaji Tirth in memory of Acharya Shri Vijay Kanaksurishwarji Maharaj Saheb and Acharya Shri Vijay Devendrasurishwarji Maharaj Saheb.
To accommodate the needs of pilgrims, a modern and fully equipped dharamshala (pilgrim rest house) and bhojanshala (dining hall) have been built to provide comfort and hospitality.
Though newly constructed along the edge of the desert, the ancient Katariyaji Tirth will continue to serve as a spiritual center, filling the hearts of devotees with reverence and devotion upon visiting.
